About

Dr. Phillips attended Arlington High School in the early 80’s. During this time, he started lifting weights under the guidance of his father, who was a long-time college and high school football and track coach. He continued this passion as he graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1988. This knowledge fulfilled his desire to understand the intricacies of how stuff works. After graduation he obtained an engineering position at Fairchild Aircraft, and later at Unisys, the latter being a contractor for NASA in Houston. His role at Unisys provided the opportunity to do software testing of the Space Shuttle Simulator. Little did he know that his career path was soon to shift gears.

Throughout his engineering career his passion for health and wellness continued, including pursuing competitive body building on the side. During this time, he was introduced to Dr. Bob Rakowski, DC, who also was a former (electrical) engineer. Dr. Rakowski not only treated Dr. Phillips, but answered the milieu of questions Dr. Phillips had about health and the workings of the human body. Dr. Rakowski saw in Dr. Phillips the abilities to be a fellow outstanding natural doctor and encouraged him to become a chiropractor. Finally, he did so, already obtaining extensive mentoring from Dr. Rakowski, including becoming certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK) by taking the 100-hour course and acing the test. Dr. Phillips was the only one to take this course before even starting at Parker Chiropractic College!

Not only did Dr. Phillips become certified as an Applied Kinesiology practitioner by the International College of Applied Kinesiology (www.ICAK.org) in 1995, but while at Parker, he quickly became President of the Applied Kinesiology Club throughout his time at Parker, and was the only member of his class with this distinction. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the fellow students, and encouraging all to go beyond what is only taught in school. He graduated from Parker Chiropractic College, Cum Laude, in August of 1998. But no, that wasn’t enough. Just as he was about to graduate, he obtained post graduate certification as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) by the International & American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists (https://www.iaacn.org). Now it was time to ascend to the next level in his career.

Dr. Phillips established Arlington Natural Health Center in the spring of 1999. He has helped a variety of patients with various health challenges. Dr. Phillips has dedicated countless hours to expanding his knowledge of health and the human body, including many courses in nutrition, endocrinology, women’s health, immune dysfunction, gastrointestinal disorders and advanced diagnostic courses in blood chemistry analysis and applied kinesiology, just to name a few.  He then brought in Dr. Charlanne Gasper, DC, CCN in 2016. Dr. Gasper has walked her own unique path in dedicating her career to increasing the health and wellness of others, a perfect fit for the Center. They combined their passion, knowledge, and desire to serve others and together established DFW Holistic Health in the Fall of 2017. Here they both have a strong desire to not only help patients get out of pain, but also increase their health and wellness.

Dr. Phillips loves his Aggies and Dallas Cowboys, and he enjoys a plethora of sports, including weightlifting, snow skiing, basketball, and his new found joy of yoga. He also likes his cars as he likes his physique -- full of muscle! Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his son, Brandon.
